Staying Committed to Your Goals

We’re almost through the first month of the year, and the sad truth is a lot of you have already thought about giving up on those resolutions/goals that set just over 3 short weeks ago (if you haven’t given up already).

The crowds at the gyms are starting to die down, and the craziness of our daily routines is starting to creep back in as the go-to excuse NOT to make time for executing on those things you so desperately wanted to achieve on day one.

So how do we stay committed when our resolve starts to wain?

There are so many tools one can use in this age of modern technology, but the key is finding what works best for you. There are apps like Streaks, which keep track of how many days in a row you’ve completed a new habit you’re trying to form, and other, more intricate journaling tools like The Rich Life planner which guide you to mapping out how you plan to execute your goals over the entire year.

Many of us try to take on too much at once, so they key is to choose no more than 3 new habits or goals you’d like to achieve for the year, and at the bare minimum, write down 3 action items that will inch you closer to the finish line each day.

Whether you’re in the cannabis industry or not, it’s important to always be striving for improvement, but wishing for something and executing on that something are two totally different things. So find a way to that works for you to keep yourself motivated over the long haul whether that’s a new-age app or the old-school, tried and true method of writing it down.
