You Can Do Anything

…But you can’t do EVERYTHING.

This accurate quote from David Allen is a great reminder as we head into the new year that if you’re truly wanting to achieve the goals that you set at the beginning of 2020, you have to make sure you don’t over commit, or you’ll end up accomplishing none of them.

Sobering thought, but true nonetheless.

Whether you dream of finally starting your very own business, switching jobs, furthering your education, buying a home, losing weight, etc…you have to get laser focused on what it is you want.

Our recommendation is to set S.M.A.R.T Goals:

SMART goals for the cannabis industry

So for example, if you’re looking to start your own business, what type of business are you looking to start? How will you know/measure you attainment towards that goal…are you setting smaller more attainable/acceptable goals in order to get there?

Is it realistic? If you’re an accountant looking to make a switch to the MBA…that probably aint gone happen.

And probably most important, what is the deadline you are going to set to achieve these goals? Because a goal without a time-line is just a dream.

Pick your top 3 goals for 2020. Sit down and take pen to paper (yes actual pen to actual paper since it’s been proven by countless studies that those who right their goals down are 75% MORE likely to actually achieve them then those that don’t…and sadly, only 20% of people ever write their goals down), and work through each of these elements.

This way you can come back to them time and HOLD YOURSELF ACCOUNTABLE. Don’t choose anymore than 3…otherwise you might burn out from overwhelm, and we don’t want that happening.

Here’s to 2020 fam! We hope you get rich!
